On October 22nd, the team presented Tau20 in Brussels at the Kick-Off Meeting for projects funded under the ESF-2024-SOC-IMP call, focused on developing impact performance intelligence services for the social impact investing market.
The event took place at the Youth Hostel Jacques Brel and was organised by the European Commission DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. It brought together projects working on tools, data, and infrastructure to strengthen impact investing across Europe.
One of the most engaging moments of the meeting was the pitch session, where we presented Tau20 to a jury panel of investors and ecosystem leaders. Projects were distributed across two panels, allowing for focused feedback and discussion. The jury included:
- Liz Fleming, Chief Ecosystem Officer at South Summit
- Cyril Gouiffes, Head of Social Impact, Equity Investments at EIF
- Rob Symes, CEO of Fortell
- Claus von Riegen, former Head of Strategy, New Ventures and Technologies at SAP
The discussion focused on a shared challenge across the ecosystem: how to make impact data useful at early stages without adding friction for founders or investors. Tau20’s approach to AI-supported, early-stage impact assessment aligned well with this need.
“It was great seeing the diversity of EU-funded impact approaches, reflecting Europe’s ambition to mainstream impact. At Tau20, we’re excited to support early-stage founders and investors in making impact clear early on.”
